College of Osteopathic Medicine transferred to OSU in 1988.
Center for Health Sciences designation in 2001.

- The OSU Center for Health Sciences is the umbrella organization
for all health-related programs (at OSU-CHS,) including the
College of Osteopathic Medicine.
- Health Sciences designation enables OSU to pursue additional
research and scholarly activity in health-related and biomedical
fields.
- Ranked among the top 40 medical schools in the nation since 2001 by the Best Graduate Schools editions of U.S. News & World Report.
- The Center is home to the OSU Center for Rural Health, with a mission to improve rural health care delivery in
Oklahoma through the coordination of rural medical education,
telemedicine, research and health care policy.
- The College of Osteopathic Medicine produces the state's largest
number of primary care physicians, particularly for communities
of less than 10,000.
- Offers the following programs: the Doctor of Osteopathic
Medicine (D.O.); the Ph.D. in Biomedical Sciences; the Master's
of Forensic Sciences; the Master's of Forensic Sciences Administration;
and the Master's of Science in Biomedical Sciences; the D.O./Ph.D; the D.O./M.B.A.; and the M.S. in Natural and Applied Science - Health Care Administration
